What are these courses?

More informally, Phys105 roughly introduces the Newton physics, specifically, in the area of mechanics, whereas Phys106 roughly introduces the basics of electromagnetism. Even though these are not the cutting-edge concepts in the realm of Physics, they are necessary and sufficient for non-Physicists, importantly for most of the engineers: see the link above for further details.

Who can/should take these courses?

These are must courses in many majors, please consult to the curriculum of your department (see academic catalog)!

When/where are these course?

I thought these courses in the past, but I am not actively teaching them in the current semester.

What are the course policies?

• You accept by taking this course that you will abide by the academic integrity rules within this course as well. You should definitely read my explanations of the expected academic integrity.
• The medium of instruction in this course is English (article 5/1 in Regulations): you are of course free to use any language (Turkish, English, Quenya, etc.) when interacting with the teaching assistant or the instructor outside the classroom, but please do your best to stick to English inside the classroom!
• Class attendance is mandatory by the Regulations (article 23/1).
