More informally, Phys105 roughly introduces the Newton physics, specifically, in the area of mechanics, whereas Phys106 roughly introduces the basics of electromagnetism. Even though these are not the cutting-edge concepts in the realm of Physics, they are necessary and sufficient for non-Physicists, importantly for most of the engineers: see the link above for further details.
